Bespoke Orders
Yes we do! For custom inquiries, please fill out our inquiry form or send an email to bespoke@khfinejewelry.com. We take on a limited number of custom projects each month and would love to hear what you have in mind.
Engagement rings typically begin around $5,000, though this starting point reflects smaller natural stones. For clients investing in a diamond with truly exceptional characteristics, budgets often go beyond that, and that is where we do our most meaningful work. Whatever your vision, we'll be transparent about what's possible at every price point.
To reserve your place in our bespoke queue and begin the design and sourcing process, we require a non-refundable deposit of $1,000.
If the stone being sourced represents a significant portion of the total commission, a second payment may be required prior to securing the stone. This is typically 50% of the total cost or the full diamond cost, whichever applies. This ensures we can move forward with care and integrity on your behalf.
Most projects are completed within 6–12 weeks from the time of deposit, depending on sourcing, design complexity, and seasonality. We'll provide a more specific estimate once we’ve aligned on design and materials.
Diamonds, Gemstones, and Materials
Our focus is on natural and antique diamonds, and the joy of finding a stone with real character, warmth, and beauty. We take great care in sourcing, and that's where we do our best work.
We do work with lab-grown diamonds on a case-by-case basis, typically when budget is a consideration. If you have questions about what's right for your project, we're happy to talk it through.
While we do offer both lab-grown and natural diamonds, we work exclusively with natural colored gemstones. Lab-created colored gemstones vary widely in growth methods and material behavior, which can affect durability, setting, and future repairs. Natural stones offer inherent variations in color and structure that are essential to the integrity and longevity of our designs, making them the standard we choose to work with for fine jewelry intended to last generations.
We have a limited number of openings for resetting and loose stone projects, and we work exclusively with resetting natural diamonds. Availability varies month to month, so if this is something you're considering, we encourage you to reach out early.
Clients interested in resetting a stone will first schedule a consultation with Kiersten, after which you'll receive a stone intake form to complete along with clear photos of your stone. Please include stone type, carat weight, any certifications (GIA, etc.), and current mounting. All stones are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and pricing is determined after evaluation. The resetting of a client's own stone is included in the bespoke design fee. In certain cases where a stone's characteristics or existing setting require additional labor or special handling, any related costs will be discussed and approved with the client prior to proceeding.
Resetting an existing gemstone carries inherent risks, including the possibility of damage during removal or setting. Kiersten will carefully assess each stone and communicate any foreseeable concerns before moving forward. By consenting to have a pre-owned gemstone reset, the client acknowledges these risks and agrees to hold Kiersten Hüelsbeck Fine Jewelry harmless from any damage that may occur due to pre-existing flaws, cracks, chips, or inclusions.
If you choose to ship your stone to us, you are responsible for selecting your carrier, arranging shipping insurance, and assuming all liability for the shipment. Kiersten Hüelsbeck Fine Jewelry does not arrange or insure incoming shipments on your behalf, and any claims for lost or damaged packages must be filed directly with your carrier. Once your stone has safely arrived, all subsequent shipments will be fully insured and handled by our trusted shipping partner.
All of our natural diamonds can be accompanied by either GIA or other certification. Certification is not industry standard for stones under 1ct, however it can be arranged upon request for an additional charge. We work closely with top diamond dealers to source stones of exceptional quality. Lab diamonds may be accompanied by GIA, IGI, or other certifications.
